At Overall Construction, we believe that investing in youth is essential for the future of the skilled trades. As the demand for qualified workers in construction continues to grow, providing young people with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and mentorship they need is more important than ever. Many students are eager to explore careers in building but lack the opportunities to gain real-world skills. Through internships, hands-on training, and direct mentorship, we’re equipping the next generation with the foundation they need to succeed in construction, whether they pursue apprenticeships, trade school, or direct entry into the workforce.
Youth internships provide valuable opportunities for young people to develop hands-on skills, gain confidence, and explore meaningful career paths. Early exposure to carpentry, framing, and a variety of skilled trades helps them build experience while discovering their strengths and interests. These internships also offer a sense of purpose, financial independence, and a pathway toward long-term success, helping to reduce barriers to employment. By supporting youth in developing practical skills and real-world experience, we empower them to build a strong foundation for their future.
To expand these opportunities, Overall Construction has partnered with AntFarm to offer a construction class at Estacada High School. Through this program, students gain valuable hands-on experience while working toward potential careers in the trades. We also provide paid on-the-job training, guiding youth into apprenticeships and professional certifications that lead to sustainable careers. Our network of contractors and industry professionals helps connect motivated young workers with real job opportunities, creating clear pathways into fulfilling, well-paying careers in building and construction.
